MOCHIDORO

Privacy policy

Your data stays with you.

Updated October 2, 2026

Mochidoro keeps your timer useful without an account with us, advertising, or analytics SDKs.

On your devices

The app stores timer state, preferences, completed-session history, and purchase status locally. It does not send your session history to a developer-operated server.

Optional iCloud sync

The Full Mochidoro unlock uses Apple’s CloudKit private database to sync timer state, selected preferences, and completed-session history between devices signed in to the same iCloud account. A random identifier lets each installation recognize its own updates.

These records are stored in your iCloud account. Mochidoro’s developer does not receive them on a separate server. Apple processes iCloud data under Apple’s privacy policy.

Activity, notifications, and widgets

On Mac, automatic pause and resume read the system’s time since keyboard or mouse activity. Mochidoro does not read keystroke contents or record your screen.

Notification permission enables local timer reminders. Apple may deliver silent iCloud notifications to refresh synced state. Widgets and Live Activities show timer information, and the garden widget shows session history, using data shared with the app on the same device. Your system settings control what appears on a locked screen.

Purchases

Apple handles payment and purchase restoration through the App Store. Mochidoro checks the purchase entitlement and stores whether the unlock is available. The developer does not receive your payment-card details.

Retention and deletion

Saved preferences and session history remain until removed from your devices or iCloud. Deleting the iPhone or iPad app removes its local app data; deleting the Mac application alone may leave its stored data.

Synced data can be removed through your Apple Account’s iCloud storage settings. Quit Mochidoro on every device first: a device that still has saved history may upload it again when reopened. Removing app data does not remove Apple’s purchase records.

You can disable notifications and Live Activities in system settings, or turn off Mochidoro’s iCloud access to stop further sync. Contact support if you need help removing local Mac data.

When you ask for help

If you contact support, the information you choose to provide is used to respond to your request and follow-up questions. You can ask us to delete messages you have sent. Support never needs your Apple Account password or payment-card details.
